How VCI works
The inhibitor slowly vaporises and distributes through the enclosed space, then adsorbs onto the metal surface as a molecular film that blocks moisture and oxygen from reacting with the metal. When the part is unwrapped, the vapour simply dissipates — the surface is clean and ready to use, with no degreasing step.
